John Lyon's Training Guide

QTY:

Symposium notes for World renowned horseman John Lyons reveals his techniques for all riding disciplines. Includes: Four characteristics of horses in order of importance to the horse- the horse is a flight from fear animal. I can't ask him not to be afraid, but I can teach him what to do when he does become afraid; strong social order or pecking order, only listen to the higher horses in the herd; basically lazy, I can use this in many ways to constructively solve problems; stallions have a strong purpose to living, but none are crazy. There is a calm, quiet, manageable horse inside all horses. The three parts of the horse which I will devote equal time to training- mental, physical, emotional. Motivator: reason to change behaviour. The reason needs to make sense to the horse. Communication- means two minds listening to one another. Always be in control. I am always teaching....good or bad. Horses seek our level. + much more. PB, 96 pages. Western, Natural Horsemanship. This book is excellent - packed with help that is VERY usable.
