Growing up in the suburbs was pleasant, but not idyllic for a kid who would
regularly wander off in search of a paddock with a horse. I tried every which way
I could to coerse the parents into getting me my very own dream on four legs.
It took getting married to a very unsuspecting husband that did the trick!

The horse riding and training, the trail riding and showing took us into a whole
new world that led to a thirst for knowledge. How to train a horse in the round yard;
gymnastic exercises in the arena; the classical seat; the psychology behind
natural horsemanship. No wonder we needed a larger bookshelf!

We started with two horses (one would get lonely...!) and now we have...well, more.
They constantly teach us that life really only needs to be simple; something that we
mere humans just don't seem to get. However, I do simply enjoy learning more about
the horse, which led me to equine myofunctional therapy. There is just so much out
there now by way of natural therapies and horse care that we as owners can learn
and thereby enhance the lives of our horses for the better.
